Refund Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
14 days to change your mind
If DryAcre isn't right for you, email support@dryacre.com within 14 days of your order and we will refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason. There is no refund button to hunt for — refunds are handled by a person, and one email is all it takes.
This policy applies to purchases of DryAcre made through our website. It sits alongside Paddle's Refund Policy — where the two differ, whichever gives you the greater right applies.
The 14-day window
Every DryAcre purchase — a new license or a maintenance renewal — can be refunded in full within 14 days of the order date, for any reason at all, including simply changing your mind. This matches the window that Paddle, our Merchant of Record, applies to the orders it processes, so you will never be told that something Paddle would have refunded is out of our hands.
Refunds are requested by email rather than granted automatically. We read every request ourselves; where it falls inside the window we approve it and ask Paddle to send the money back.
The free 3-day trial is still the best way to buy with confidence: install it, run it against your own field, and see the real surface, watersheds, and tile layout on your own ground before you spend anything. The refund window is there for what the trial cannot tell you — it is not a reason to skip it.
How to request a refund
- Email support@dryacre.com from the address you bought with, within 14 days of your order date.
- Include the order or receipt number from the confirmation email Paddle sent you if you have it. It helps us find the order faster, but we can look you up by email address if you don't.
- Tell us briefly what went wrong, if anything did. You don't have to — but if something is broken or missing, we would genuinely like the chance to fix it.
We aim to respond within 2 business days. You can also use the "View receipt" link in Paddle's order confirmation email, or contact Paddle's buyer support directly at paddle.net — both routes reach the same place.
After the 14 days
Once the window has closed, purchases are final, except where a refund is required by the consumer law where you live (see Your statutory rights below) or in these cases, which we will put right whenever you raise them:
- Accidental or duplicate charges — if you were billed twice, or billed for something you did not buy, tell us and we will refund it.
- Software that doesn't work as described — if DryAcre is faulty or materially not what this website described, contact us. We will try to fix it first; where we can't, you may be entitled to a refund under the consumer law where you live, and we will honour that.
- The free trial costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
How a refund is paid
Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all DryAcre orders, so where a refund is due Paddle issues it to your original payment method. Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 14 days, though how quickly the money appears depends on your bank or card issuer. Any sales tax or VAT charged is refunded with the purchase price.
What happens to your license
When a refund is issued, your license to use DryAcre ends. You agree to stop using the Software and remove it from your computers, and we mark the refunded license as ended in our records. Drainage plans and exports you already created remain your own files on your own computer — we have no access to them and do not delete anything from your machine.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live, and where those laws give you more than this policy does, they win. In particular, through Paddle:
- Buyers in the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Note that this right is normally lost once you have started downloading or using the software, because you consent at checkout to immediate delivery — our own 14-day window above applies either way.
- Buyers in Canada, Brazil, South Korea, and China have a 7-day cancellation right, and in Singapore a 5-day right.
- Separately from any cancellation window, consumers in the UK and EU have rights where digital content is faulty or not as described. Those rights are not affected by this policy.
The highest level of rights always applies. If you're unsure whether a right applies to you, ask us — we will not use this policy to talk you out of something you're legally entitled to.
